the emotion of music from hand made instruments

The Kiom company is entirely devoted to design and handcraft only state of the art audio components: tube amplifiers and high efficiency loudspeakers.

Kiom is born from the wide experience of Luca Chiomenti.
He studied Electronic Enginering at Politecnico di Milano and, since 1990, he has been a professional audio designer and operated as a free lancer for about 10 years. His two passions, the one for music and the other for highest quality craftsmanship, pushed him to surpass the limits of the usual hi-fi reproduction. His aim was for pure emotion to come from live music only.
In 1999 he gave birth to a new experience, the KIOM, to homage the Music by truly hand crafted instruments.

The goal is the emotion coming from real music. The instrument to reach that aim originates from a wise blend of two ingredients: the past and the future.
The past is the tradition, a part of which is kept in the ancient arts of the highest liuthery and the wood hand working. The other part came from the study of the past electronic and electroacustic applications.
The future is the research. Re-elaborating all the elements from the past, we use the latest development of technology to turn them towards the future, to offer quality, originality, reliability and longevity.

Kiom systems are the result of this research. They offer the best musical truthfulness to a public having the live music as the only reference.

Each Kiom component is exclusive. Based on a Luca Chiomenti's custom design, it is manufactured on order and each part is entirely hand crafted using exclusive components.
